Where do we ship?
For the time being, Chelsea King ships hair accessories to the U.S. and Canada.
Where do Chelsea King products come from?
All of our hair accessories, including scrunchies are proudly handmade in Canada.
Does my order come with tracking?
Regular shipping does not come with tracking. Tracking is available upon request before purchase at an additional fee.
How do I enter a promo code?
After adding your item(s) to cart, and then proceeding to checkout you’ll be requested to enter your information. On desktop you’ll see a field on the right showing your item(s) in your cart and a field to enter a promo code. On mobile, after filling in your details, you’ll see a shopping cart beside where it reads ‘Show order summary’ – click on that line to show your order summary and there you’ll notice the promo code field there.
A couple things with promo codes…
- You have to enter your email at checkout for the promo field to accept a valid code
- Only one promo code can be used per order
Why does the color of my scrunchie look different on my computer screen than it does out of package?
Screen resolution, color contrast, and screen brightness can differ from one computer or electronic device to the next. We do our best to show our scrunchies unfiltered and in its natural state on our website in order to most authentically represent its appearance.
What shipping carrier do you use?
We use Canada Post for the most reliable and cost-effective method of shipping of our hair accessories.
What methods of payment do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
How do I edit my billing and shipping information?
Changes to your profile can be made if you have signed up for a Chelsea King account. Note that any changes in shipping information made after an order has shipped will not apply to that order.
When will my card be charged?
Your card will be charged when your order is placed.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Sales tax charged is dependent on where you live. This is calculated at the time of checkout.
Can I combine promotional codes?
Unfortunately, promotional codes cannot be combined. One promotional code or offer per purchase.
Who invented the scrunchie?
It’s true, we have been credited for bringing the scrunchie back, however, no, we did not invent them. :) According to Wikipedia, scrunchies were invented by Philips E. Meyers in 1963.
How do I care for my scrunchie?
For cleaning, each style can be a bit different, but in general we recommend spot cleaning as needed. We have found that a Tide to Go Pen works really well in most cases. If it is really dirty you can hand wash and lay flat to dry.
When is National Scrunchie Day?
Believe it or not, there is a national scrunchie day which is April 16th.
Are scrunchies bad for your hair?
No. In fact, a correctly made scrunchie protects your hair against breakage and kinking. Not to mention the fabric provides and additional layer of protection.
What is ‘scrunchie’ in French?
‘Chouchoute’ which translates to ‘darling’ in English. Love that!
Are scrunchies good to use while sleeping?
Yes, for reasons such as preventing hair breakage and kinking, scrunchies are a great way to protect your strands while you sleep. Scrunchies made with satin are recommended most for use when sleeping to avoid creasing or kinking your hair.
Where can I wear my scrunchie?
Oh boy! Where to start, and where does it end. :) We think scrunchies are an effortless way to upgrade any outfit, but here are a few suggestions. Scrunchies for bridal showers. Our active scrunchies are waterproof so they're perfect for ballet, yoga, running, swimming. Scrunchies are great for Moms on the run.
How do I wear my scrunchie?
There are so many hair styles, you’re really limited only by your imagination. Cute buns. Low buns. Messy buns. High ponies and low ponytails. Just to mention a few.
What hair types are best with scrunchies?
Scrunchies are best for medium to long hair of any type. Curly, straight, thin or thick hair. Our scrunchies offer fantastic hold for all hair types.
What types of fabric do you use for your scrunchies?
Certain fabric types lend themselves more to offer better durability while maintaining a lightweight feel. We select the highest quality fabrics for use in our velvet scrunchies, satin scrunchies, natural cotton scrunchies, faux leather scrunchies, suede like scrunchies, and natural fiber scrunchies.
